Glamping
Camping with the luxuries of the modern world
Glamour and camping might seem like opposites, but tourism innovators have combined them in the concept of glamping, an increasingly popular way to vacation. Unlike traditional camping, glamping provides accommodations that offer all the comforts of a high-end hotel, sometimes even surpassing the experience of boutique hotels. It’s luxury camping designed for those who love the outdoors but still want modern amenities like a soft bed, a shower, heating, and air conditioning.
BIGHEAD is a leader in developing glamping solutions
Each of our tent models is designed and customized to meet the specific wishes and needs of our clients.
We believe that the traditional tourist offerings in campsites are not enough—a mini-resort must provide guests with a unique, new, and authentic experience. It’s all about the guest experience, and not about you. That's why BIGHEAD does not endorse mass production. While mass-produced tents may be cheaper upfront, in the long run, they prove to be a poorer investment. This is our core belief.
Guest feedback matters
Booking.com ranks properties based on guest reviews, and today’s travelers meticulously browse online offerings, reading every review. The success of your campsite or resort is closely tied to these reviews, especially those on Booking. Ratings below eight will lead to fewer bookings and reduced revenue. It’s all interconnected.
In a market overcrowded with tourist options, standing out requires uniqueness. With our expertise, you can achieve this—we’ve proven it through numerous successful projects. Overnight stays and guest feedback speak for themselves.
People often look for shortcuts by purchasing low-budget tents, such as popular bell tents, expecting large returns with minimal investment. However, the reality is quite different. In our experience, only luxury glamping tents provide one of the most profitable investments, offering a quick return on investment. This is a fact, not just a theory.
Let’s be honest.By adding luxury tents to your campsite, you will:
- Higher price per night,
- Attract a different, higher-spending guest profile,
- Avoid dealing with the challenges of low-cost, mass tourism,
- Take your campsite to the next level,
- Achieve more effective marketing and word-of-mouth promotion.
That's why our tents are not mass-produced; each project is uniquely designed for the individual client - for you. This is the only way to create a strong tourism story—something that guests will talk about and share. This is a well-known concept in marketing - the first rule. For sure.
We have developed over 13 different glamping tent models and tiny houses, with many projects fully customized to meet specific needs.
DESIGN: guests notice it
We use only the highest quality materials in the construction of our tents. The solid wooden frame is not just for stability—it adds a sense of durability and quality (the feeling is different) that guests immediately recognize. They notice where they sleep, eat and relax. And if they catch the scent of plastic in the tent, they will never return. Don't do this.
Don't be misled.
But most manufacturers prioritize lower prices and, as a result, sacrifice quality. Cutting costs often means compromising on essential aspects like stability, leaving you with products that are as fragile as houses of cards. These companies attract you with beautiful renderings, lower prices, and flashy tricks. Don’t fall for them.

Come see our tents in person—it's the only way to truly understand the authenticity and craftsmanship behind what we stand for.

- We do not use subcontractors or third parties for manufacturing or do outsourcing
- All engineering is developed by BIGHEAD & Egoles
- The tent is mould-resistant — you really don't want to have this on your tent for the first year
- Gusts are safe from floods, heavy downpours, hail, and the tent does not leak anywhere
- Natural fresh air ventilation – the tent doesn’t turn into a warm greenhouse, and guests can comfortably stay inside during extreme weather
- We have small movable glamping tents — they can be removed from the space each season (Plug & Play movable tent)
What you should know about single-layer tents
1. Mold IssuesLow-cost, single-layer tents are prone to mold, which develops quickly and is difficult to clean — destroy the entire tent. Mold is likely to form after just one season of use.
2. Heat RetentionHeat is another issue with these tents. They tend to trap heat (warm greenhouse effect), making them unbearable to use during the day. This can be particularly problematic in hot and humid climates.
3. Poor Performance in Extreme WeatherDuring heavy rain, storms, or even hail, which have become more frequent in recent years, staying in these tents can be both uncomfortable and dangerous, causing people to feel unsafe.
4. Lack of Relaxation SpaceSimple tents often lack a dedicated relaxation area where guests can comfortably unwind — they do not offer a functional veranda for relaxation. Consequently, these tents are primarily suitable just for sleeping and do not offer the level of comfort that many demanding guest seek. No matter what you think.
Single-layer tents are more suited to young adventurers who do not bring added value to the resort. And they may not meet the expectations of more demanding guest who are looking for a higher level of comfort. Ultimately, it depends on the profile of the guests you want to have at your campsite. Think carefully.
A good business investment
- No concrete foundations are required, and nature is unspoiled. A big plus.
- Glamping is on the rise and becoming a significant source of tourist demand. People yearn for a deeper connection with nature.
- Return on investment within two years, and with the PREMIUM model, within three years.
- Not limited to the summer season – you can rent for up to five months.
- Municipalities and mayors are more in favour of this approach compared to concrete or apartment construction.
- Faster acquisition of permits and paperwork.
- Building permits are often not needed for pitching a glamping tent, especially smaller ones. Use our Plug & Play movable tent.
- The tourism trend is moving towards eco-development and green transition. This direction is the only right one.
- The cost of setting up a campsite is lower than traditional construction.
- You don't need a sewer (drain pipes) to every building - the initial investment is lower
Facts about BIGHEAD
We have many years of experience in constructing and pitching glamping tents. Did you know that with all the canvas we've used to make our tents, we could almost cover the entire roof of the Allianz Arena? The roof spans 38,000 square meters, and by August 2018, we had already used approximately 37,500 square meters of canvas. By now, we may have surpassed that mark.
Update: As of 2024, we’ve used over 45,000 square meters of canvas.
We continue to advance every year by developing new techniques and innovations. While others may turn to outsourcing, we invest in our in-house expertise. We're proud to strengthen and enhance the competitiveness of the European market.More about us read here ...
