The Glamping Pioneer in Europe

  • 2011We setup our first tipi

    The story started in 2011 when we came up with the idea of making glamping tents. The first tent was pitch up at the Bled camp by the lake. We set up an Indian tipi and next was standing a totem statue. Our website was online Indian tipi

  • 2012Erect indian tipis in wellness

  • 2013Developed mini adventure tent

    Erection of the first 8 m Indian tipis. In addition, we set up the first mini glamping tents for two people - the mini Adventure tent - at the Kranjska Gora Eko camp. We developed first simple wild camp tent. Natura Eko kamp Kranjska Gora

  • 2014First glamping resort in the word

    Six prestigious tents and 10 smaller tents for two people were erected in the Garden Village Bled. A milestone in the world was set with the first such resort. Camp was awarded with numerous awards - Garden Village Bled.

  • 2015Valamar camping - 5 star company

    Valamar entrusted us with the erection of the first glamping tent in Croatia, in Istria. Valamar Riviera d.d. is the largest tourism company in Croatia - Valamar premium camp resort

  • 2016We started building in Croatia, Austria and Slovenia

    Another milestone for BIGHEAD was the multi-year agreement with Valamar to supply numerous tents across their campsites. We also installed exclusive tents at the Lanterna campsite. These successes have significantly increased the company's value, establishing us as a key European player in glamping solutions.

    We got world’s first 6-star glamping resort

  • 2019Camp Austria & Croatia camp

    We builed Glamping Camp in Breznik and in Istria Premium Camping Funtana for company Valamar. We set the standard for true luxury camping and the definition of it.

  • 2021We entered the German market.

    Germany's first Indian-inspired glamping village featured modern tipis with a touch of Indian décor. The unique accommodations proved popular, resulting in full bookings during peak season.

  • 2022Germany luxury tents

    First true glamping village in Germany Glamping Urlaub am Kiebitzer See. We set up glamping in Leipzig and Kiel.

  • 2023BIGHEAD & Egoles

    The fourth milestone of BIGHEAD was written. EGOLES and BIGHEAD announced their cooperation. EGOLES with 35 years of experience in skeleton house construction and BIGHEAD with 12 years of experience in the production of prestigious living tents.

  • 2023Tiny house production begin

    No one has ever built a luxury tiny house with two floors and a sauna inside—until now. Once again, we've set a new milestone in the world of glamping.

  • 2024A new standard for tiny houses

    We introduced the world's first tiny house of its kind, setting a new standard for how tiny houses should be built. Just as in the past, we expect others to follow our lead in the future.

Why BIGHEAD

The name BIGHEAD originates from the figure of an Indian chief, a symbol of exceptional human nature and the ability to thrive harmoniously with the surrounding environment of water and forest.

Our beginnings
Over a decade ago, we embarked on this journey with boldness and determination. We believed that people had lost their primal connection to nature, and we were driven to restore it.

Borut, a creative innovator and programmer, spent much of his life behind a computer screen. But one day, he felt an inner calling—a realization that this wasn’t enough. Determined to change course, he left the comfort of his old life and took on the unpredictable challenge of entrepreneurship. Alenka, whose remarkable sewing talents had already been part of the vision, joined him, and together, we founded BIGHEAD.

CEO - Director

Martin Cheber is the CEO of Egoles, a company with over 30 years of experience in producing timber-frame house constructions. They utilize state-of-the-art machinery and advanced software. He is down to earth guy with direct and pragmatic view and excellent at solving the client's needs. He is an avid football player.

Developer & design

Borut Pegam is a visionary, innovator, and thinker. Thirteen years ago, he launched the BIGHEAD brand based on his ideas. He is an expert in engineering, design, and programming. In his free time he study evolutionary psychology and quantum physics.

Alenka Jezeršek is the CEO of BIGHEAD and oversees the company’s operations and dynamics. She manages the controlling and logistics processes and is responsible for key decisions and strategic direction. In free time, her passion lies in creating wedding dresses and designing high-fashion clothing.

Jörg Thoke is the CEO of George Glamp and with over a decade of experience in mobile home sales. He's become a leading figure in German glamping tourism development. In addition to managing three campsites, he provides expert consulting for resort campsites. His keen insight and a strong sense of practicality makes him an exceptional advisor.

With more than 4,000 m² of manufacturing space, we can ensure fast and efficient production.

We are a small, yet passionate team with many years of experience in building glamping tents and bringing your dreams to life. Our size allows us to be extremely flexible, ensuring that each tent we create is unique and custom-built for you and your specific location. We never compromise on design or quality, and our expertise spans landscape architecture, garden design, glamping, and eco-resorts.

Our commitment to quality

Every glamping solution we create is first designed in 3D. Once you approve the design, we begin the production process. We take our work seriously—perhaps a little too seriously—but this is our craft, and we take pride in it. There’s no mass production here. Every BIGHEAD product is handcrafted in Slovenia, ensuring that our tents are distinctive and stand out from the rest. Don’t just take our word for it; ask our satisfied clients.
